My approach
Therapy with me is collaborative, warm, and gently paced. I value curiosity over pressure, and I support you in listening to your body as much as your thoughts.
We typically begin with a free 20-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
For most clients, sessions are held weekly, in person in Seattle. I also have limited telehealth availability for clients in Washington State.
Together, we’ll build a plan that may include:
Shorter-term work:
Identifying clear, practical goals based on your priorities
Using solution-focused and strengths-based approaches
Longer-term work:
Using attachment-based therapy to explore and heal deeper patterns and core beliefs
Modalities I draw from include:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT)
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
Strengths-Based Therapy
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
Gestalt therapy
Other mindfulness-based and somatic approaches
About me
Hi! I’m Meridith (she/they). I’m passionate about supporting people in their recovery journeys, walking alongside them as they heal their mind-body relationships and reconnect with pleasure, creativity, and freedom.
I also love working with people who are parents, or in the process of becoming parents. My own journey to parenthood was far from simple, and I feel deep compassion for folks of all genders who are navigating the challenges - and joys - of caring for the next generation.
I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University in 2025, with a focus on mindfulness-based therapy. I completed my clinical internship in eating disorder care, working from a Health at Every Size (HAES®) framework.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in public health and health care administration. I earned a Master of Public Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in cultural anthropology and gender & sexuality studies from Haverford College.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy going to parks with my chosen family and kids, reading poetry, and trying out new bakeries.
